T.C. Tubb

My grandpa recently passed away. He was a great example. A hard working man and good to everyone. He loved unconditionally. I hope to be half the man he was someday. He will be missed but I know he is happy being able to work hard again.

Temple

We went to the Joberg Temple the other night. We were let us on the grounds even though it was closed. It was so peaceful, like always. You can really feel a difference right when you step onto temple grounds.

Ghana

This isn't the route we took but it's all the places we stayed the past month. It's been a fun and at times annoying adventure. Ho is my favorite so far. It's beautiful and peaceful. We will see how Hohoe is tomorrow.

More of Ghana

Watching the sun set in Cape Coast, about to eat dinner on the beach. (Oasis Beach Resort, Cape Coast)

We got kicked off the beach for being white and had to eat away from the beach. (Oasis Beach Resort, Cape Coast)

Never seen ants do this. It was pretty rad. (Hans Cottage Botel, Cape Coast)

Our bus broken down. A 6 hour bus ride took 13. (Kumasi)

Waiting for another bus to come after ours broke down. Maybe we should bring this to the States. Seems like a good idea...NOT! (STC station, Kumasi)

Burkina Faso Border (Paga)

Waterfall near Ho. It was most beautiful.

Ankasa = Hell

We went to a nature reserve today. A tro tro ride, taxi ride and walking 6 km later we were there. I was excited till we found out it was another 8 km to the campsite and we would have to walk it. AND it would cost 15 cidis a person to camp. We just stayed at a beach resort for 20 cidis a night, for both of us! No way we were walking 8 km more and paying more to camp. We ended up leaving and the guy still charged us 5 cidis for absolutely nothing. It bothers me when people expect something for nothing. He acted like he was doing us a favor by not charging the whole entrance fee. At least a nice guy picked us up on the way out so it saved us a lot of walking. If you ever want to go to Ankasa in Ghana, don't. It's a waste of time and money. Good news is we are heading back to Hans Cottage Botel for a few nights. That is going to be very nice and relaxing. The fried rice is tasty, they have crocodiles in the lake, the rooms are nice (especially for 12 cidis a night).

Ghana

I've been in Ghana since the October 17th. So far it's been an amazing trip. Foods been good. The majority of people are way nice. I got to see Elmina Castle and Cape Coast Castle. I thought Elmina Castle was better, other than the fact that our tour guide was an absolute retard. He said, Africans wouldn't kill each other if the white man didn't bring guns. I wish I could say he was joking. How can someone be so dumb?

We started in Accra and stayed two nights. It was cool but too big for my liking. We made our way to Cape Coast and stayed at a super rad place that has crocodiles. The first night in Cape Coast we ate at a restraraunt on the beach. It was so romantic watching the sun set...too bad I was with another guy haha. Kids kept trying to sell us a big shell for 10 cidis.

Dallin and I are in Takoradi now staying with Edmond. We watched some futbol and played pool. It was a chill day. We took a tro tro from Cape Coast here and enjoyed jamming out to Sublime.
